For my second oil pastel drawing I drew a blue butterfly on a leaf. In this drawing I colored the second leaf in the top left corner darker to give it value. I used value in leaf by making it shaded/darker in the corners where light wasn't hitting it and gradually making it lighter on the bottom right corners of the leaf where light was hitting it the most. I feel like I did good job portraying a cool color scheme by using the colors blue and green throughout almost the whole drawing. Another thing I feel I did good on is the form of the butterfly. I used form by making the butterfly feel up close and using shadows to make the butterfly seem more realistic. One thing I could've worked on is using contrast in the drawing. I could've used contrast better on my butterfly by adding more blue and white lines in the wings to make the butterfly look more realistic. Another thing I did well on in my drawing was using unity. I felt like I used unity well by making the butterfly on the leaf feel like they belong together on the drawing instead of it feeling that the butterfly doesn't belong on the leaf ot that kind of background.
