For my last acrylic painting I painted a landscape with a colorful sky, a tree, and grass. In this painting I feel like I did a good job using value in this painting because my sky has a broad range from light colors to dark including yellow, orange-pink, pink, purple, and dark purple. Another thing I did well on this painting is my use of texture I used on the grass. I used texture well on the grass in my painting by using small strokes with my brush to make the grass actually look like grass on real life and I also used five different colors for the grass to give it a broad range of value so the grass didn't seem like it was plain and simple. One thing I could've improved on in this painting is the lack of space in the tree. I could've improved on using better space in my tree by painting light and dark areas of the tree which would make it feel more 3-dimensional and realistic. Next, I feel as if I did do good on using emphasis in the sky by drawing the viewers attention to the sky which is filled with such a vast amount of colors which stand out. Finally, I did well on using contrasting colors in the grass which will draw your attention to it. Also, because of the contrasting colors in the grass it makes the painting feel more realistic and up close to you.
