For my acrylic animal painting I painted a koala on a branch and a green background. One thing I did well on in this painting was the value of the koala's fur. The value of the koala's fur has many light and dark tones of grey to it which make the koala look more realistic and make it look like there's real fur on the koala. Another thing I believe I did well on this painting was the use of form. I believe that I used form well in this painting by making the koala's size seem realistic and in proportion. Also, I used form well by making the koala seem as if it's 3D and feel close up to you by painting it's half and half of its body on the each side of the branch. One thing which I could've improved on in this painting was using a smooth texture. I could've improved on using a smooth texture in my koala painting by making the background not as streaky and making the colors blend better together. Furthermore, I feel that I used unity pretty well in this painting because all the different tones of grey on the koala's fur and how realistic the koala looks and even the branch looks as if it belongs with the koala. Lastly, I used emphasis well in this koala painting by directing your attention to the face and ears of the koala which I want to be looked at the most because the texture of the ears are cool and the face of the koala has many different shades in it which draws your attention to it.
